Friends of St. Mary’s Stralsund
For many years the Friends of St. Mary’s have been committed to support the preservation of the building structure
and art treasures of St. Mary’s in Stralsund. Immediate tasks are the reconstruction of the portals and doors on the
north and south-side of the church and, in stages, the refurbishment of the Neo-Gothic parish pews from 1841 in the nave.
In 2017/18, we kindly ask for your donation for this project.
Many valuable pieces, including paintings, chapel panels, gravestones and painted railings for the galleries are threatened
by decay and still require conservation and historically professional refurbishment. The Friends also support church
music at St. Mary’s and organise a series of talks every year.
Please, help us with your donation to preserve the magnificent building of St. Mary’s church and its interior for future
generations and to support the concerts and musical activities at the church. Thank you very much!
