Baptistery

Like a small, airy chapel the wooden octagonal
baptistery from 1738 is standing next to the
southern portal of the crossing.

John the Baptist is standing on the crown of the
baptistery as a symbol for the Christian baptism.
The baptistery was thoroughly restored
from 2008 to 2012.

At its centre you can see the baptismal
font from the 16th century.
